Welcome to the Shining Light Society of Hospice of Santa Barbara (HSB)! As a Shining Light, you help us fulfill our promise of providing compassionate care for anyone experiencing the impact of life-threatening illness or grieving the death of a loved one. We could not do our work without you!
Despite in-person limitations due to the pandemic, HSB continues to meet the increased need for services in safe and effective ways. We offer telehealth appointments, contactless deliveries (including medical prescriptions and groceries), phone check-ins, and virtual gatherings. In mid-2020, we began partnering with Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics to serve low-income COVID-positive patients and their families. To date, we have served over 100 of these patients and over 200 of their family members through our Patient Care Services. This would not be possible without the generosity of our Shining Light Society members.

SLS EVENTS
SPRING 2023 - Hosted at the Helena Mason Art Gallery in the funk zone, nearly 100 guests enjoyed art, wine, and food, while celebrating the impact of HSB’s work in the community.
FALL 2019 - Hosted at the rooftop of the Kimpton Canary Hotel, over 90 guests enjoyed handcrafted cocktails and appetizers as they learned more about HSB’s Patient Care Services and Volunteer programs.
SPRING 2019 - Hosted at the Convivo, over 60 guests enjoyed handcrafted cocktails and appetizers as they learned more about HSB’s free services.
FALL 2017 - Hosted at the Maritime Museum, over 50 guests enjoyed wine and appetizers as they learned more about the important free services of Hospice of Santa Barbara.
SPRING 2017 - As a way to recognized their generous key supporters, Hospice of Santa Barbara (HSB) has launched the Shining Light Society for those who have donated $1,000 or more over the past few years or who have made a lifetime gift of more than $20,000 and/or who have made a commitment to HSB in their estate plan. Hosted at the beautiful Hope Ranch home of Dr. Stephen Hosea, over 60 guests enjoyed wine and appetizers as they learned more about the important free services of Hospice of Santa Barbara.
