Hospice on The Riviera

I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can...

In 2005, the Hospice of Santa Barbara Board of Directors responded to the community's growing need for our services. The time had come to create a unique healing place, a place where the sorrows of illness and death don't impair the meaning of life and the joy of living. With the help of Director Kenny Slaught, developer Michael Towbes, architect Barry Berkus, and the hard work of Frank Schipper Construction, we created a new resource and gift for our community: Hospice on the Riviera.

"They gave us a space where dignity, strength and vitality heals and lives," said our Executive Director, Gail Rink. "Ultimately, it is the sharing of...ideas and feelings that empowers us to face our fears, heal our sorrows, and have the constant comfort of a life well lived."

Specifically designed with healing in mind our new office Center provides us with the space and tools to help our clients and patients. The Center is only minutes from downtown Santa Barbara, yet conveys a feeling of comfort and privacy.

It is our hope that the community of Santa Barbara will benefit from our relocation to the Riviera and its talented and committed staff for years to come.
