Nancy Shobe, Key Relationships Manager

Nancy Shobe began her career as an advertising copywriter in Chicago. When the Windy City blew her west, she landed a position as Special Events Coordinator for the nonprofit Los Angeles Music Center. Nancy was enticed to relocate from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara after being offered a position as Director of Development for Crane School. Six annual funds, a building campaign, and a national award later, Nancy began to work with Phillips & Associates, a Los Angeles-based fundraising consulting firm. Eventually, Nancy focused her fundraising efforts solely on Santa Barbara, and has continued to do so for the past 20 years. After her mother’s death in 2014, Nancy was inspired to delve deeper into spirituality and dying, death, and grief work. She completed William Peters’ Life Beyond Death courses and Shared Crossing Workshop. She also studied with international grief expert David Kessler, author Paul Selig, spiritual medium Mavis Pittilla, and completed Walking the Labyrinth of Grief by the Living and Dying Consciously Project. Nancy is trained as a yoga therapist Reiki II practitioner. In her spare time, Nancy enjoys travel and photographing the wonders of the Earth.
