Monique Bloedau, AMFT, Bereavement Counselor

Since 2019, Monique has provided individual and group counseling to our clients, and to youth on local secondary school campuses. She was drawn to Hospice of Santa Barbara because of the deeply meaningful work that is done here to serve the local community. She earned a B.A. in English from UCSB and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She received clinical training and education from Community Counseling and Education Center, CALM, The Center for Prolonged Grief and she is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid. Monique cultivates a self-care practice that includes spending time in community, being outdoors, practicing mindfulness, exploring the arts, reading, and cooking.
