Carlin Sundell, APCC, Bereavement Counselor

Carlin is honored to join the Hospice team as a Bereavement Counselor. Formerly he served at the Buellton Medical Center as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, providing psychotherapy and EMDR for local clients, and statewide as a member of Open Path Psychotherapy Collective. He earned his BA from The Evergreen State College and Masters in Counseling from Southwestern College of Santa Fe. Growing up in a family of dedicated health care professionals serving underserved communities through Indian Health Services, Healthy Start, and others, planted a seed in him that continues to bloom today. He finds deep support for his work as a contemplative practitioner in the Zen and Christian traditions, and regularly attends meditation retreats. He can otherwise be found playing in the ocean with his son, and cooking to the beautiful sounds of music on vinyl.
